The purpose of this study is to look into the soap industry effluents in the Amravati region. The physicochemical parameters of effluents from the soap business in the Amravati region were studied. Physico-chemical parameters such as colour, odour temperature, pH, electrical conductance, total dissolved solids, calcium and magnesium hardness, chloride, COD, BOD, SAR, fluoride, iron, and alkalinity & sulphate of the effluent collected from the soap industry of Amravati region were analysed in this study. The elements sodium and potassium were examined flame photo -metrically. It may be claimed that if any of the researched physic-chemical parameters (COD, pH, TDS, Sulphate ion Concentration, fluoride & chloride Concentration) exceeds the WHO acceptable limit, the water should be treated before being used for domestic purposes.
