The goal of this work was to use Gas-Chromatography Mass Spectrometry to examine the principal chemical components of Syzygium aromaticum flower buds, pedicels, and leaves. Eugenol is the main ingredient in all pedicels (79.75 percent), buds (74.12 percent), and leaves (51.03 percent ). Acetyleugenol, Caryophyllene, Humulene, and Caryophyllene oxide are also significant components in addition to eugenol. Eugenol's therapeutic properties include antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anticancer, anti-diabetic, anesthetic, and antioxidant properties.
