Study on Maximum Trusted Cluster Head Selection Algorithm for MANET | Chapter 10 | Recent Developments in Engineering Research Vol. 12

MANETs are self-organizing and self-configuring multi-hop wireless networks with adaptive re-configuration capabilities. The lack of infrastructure, limited bandwidth, dynamic nature, and unpredictable nature of link failure all have a negative impact on network services. Trust is an important consideration in the design and analysis of secure distribution systems. As a result, in this proposed study, trust-based security is chosen as a security strategy to strengthen the cluster head. As a result, a secure cluster head could be selected for each cluster, ensuring safe routing. To strengthen the chosen cluster head, a security approach known as the trust mechanism is proposed. It also discusses the draw backs of the re-election process and a new priority method is proposed which gives an alternative solution for the re-election process
