The goal of this study was to underline the significance of doing a full case analysis that included all potential diagnostic measures of facial asymmetry before establishing a treatment plan and selecting the right treatment modality. Patients and Methods: Six patients with significant facial asymmetry and unilateral condylar hyperplasia were reported, ranging in age and gender. Prior to orthosurgical intervention, borderline individuals with probable condylar growth (Age 18-25Y) were treated to a SPECT bone scan. The treatment approach was chosen based on the patient's age, condylar development activity, and severity of the dentofacial deformity. Some had unilateral ramus osteotomy of the afflicted condyle, others had bilateral ramus osteotomy with or without genioplasty, and the rest required bimaxillary surgery (Le Fort I maxillary osteotomy with mandibular ramus osteotomy). Results: In 3Ds, posttreatment records (photos, models, and radiographs) revealed a significant increase in face symmetry and a normal occlusal relationship. The patients' satisfaction with their facial aesthetics and functional occlusion was high. Conclusions: With adequate functional occlusion, optimal oro-facial harmony and balance were attained. Collaboration within the healthcare team was crucial in achieving treatment goals and ensuring patient satisfaction.
