Study of the Structure of Atomic Nuclei | Chapter 5 | Current Approaches in Science and Technology Research Vol. 2

 The nuclei of all elements are made up of a series of helium nuclei. The interchange of mesons between nucleons ensures the stability of helium nuclei. The uranium 235U is divided in a chain where the energy of separation of the nucleus of helium 4He is close to zero. Helium has two protons and two neutrons in its nucleus.
