Respectful Care as a Human Right: Key Components of Implementing “Respectful Maternity Care” | Chapter 11 | Current Innovations in Disease and Health Research Vol. 7

 Over ancient times few decades the concept of “mannerly maternity care” has developed and expanded to have devotion holistic approach. Respectful parenthood care is a critical but frequently neglected field of quality healthcare. It is not only a important component ofquality of care but it is also ahuman right. World Health Organization approval states that: Respectful maternity care – that refers to care organized for and determined to all women in theory that maintains their nobility, privacy and secrecy, ensures privilege from harm and mistreatment, and enables cognizant choice and continuous support all along labor and childbirth – is urged.Over 90 global institutions, including the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) and the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), have signed a statement from WHO employment on governments, healthcare institutions and healthcare providers for fear that and eliminate disregard and abuse during ability-based parturition. In this chapter, we review the evidence of courteous maternity care and consider about the significant concerns for professional practice for health care providers.
