Beyond the Norm: Rare Benign Tumors of the Sinonasal Tract and Pharynx - Case Reports and Literature Summary | Chapter 2 | Novel Research Aspects in Medicine and Medical Science Vol. 8

The present affiliate presents an array of interesting cases of rare favorable tumors localized in the vocal organs, nasal and sinus cavities. The case performances are followed by comprehensive reviews of article and historical citations for each type of tumor.Unilateral nasal birthmark in a 72-year-old male that, although not a precious pathology, raises in this case different problems on account of the most unexpected self-medical procedure of the tumor. The surgeon was intelligent to pull it out without difficulty, without any draining but it is entirely possible that the bulk would have, eventually, plainly fallen out.Pilomatrixoma is a relatively exceptional ectodermal benign tumor of the skin, came from the hair form cells. Surgical resection is healing, but a recurrence is possible (until 5%). The presented case is of a 26-period-old woman with a pilomatrixoma of the abandoned cheek who, for beautiful reasons, refused a chaste external approach. This creates an entertaining premise for the presentation. A trans-oral redistribute was performed, that proved feasible but moderately laborious and compulsive recurrence risk.Inverted Schneiderian papilloma is a fairly precious benign tumor of the nasal and cavity cavities accompanying an increased potential for invasion, repetition and malignant transformation. The cyst represents nearly 0.5-4% of all nasal tumors and has been described under various names such as villiform cancer, tubular / transitional papilloma etc. We report a exceptional case of bilateral papilloma in a 68-year-buddy.
