Obturation Materials in Pediatric Dentistry-Past to Present: A Review | Chapter 10 | Advanced Concepts in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 2

 Obturation matters play a pivotal role in the boom of endodontic treatment for primary dentition. Primary teeth, though ephemeral, do critical functions in mastication, talk development, and maintaining scope for permanent successors. Consequently, maintaining their integrity through effective endodontic processes is of paramount importance. This inclusive review aims to evaluate and analyze the wide range of obturation fabrics available for primary dentition, including traditional alternatives like zinc oxide-eugenol cement and calcium hydroxide-located pastes, as well as newer substitutes like bioceramics, for their clinical efficacy, biocompatibility, and enduring outcomes thus contribution insights into their strengths, defect, and suitability for different dispassionate scenarios. Such knowledge is critical for clinicians in making informed decisions concerning the selection of obturation materials, guaranteeing the best possible effects in pediatric endodontic treatment.
