Contemporary Challenges Facing Early Childhood Care and Education Services in Rural Areas of Botswana | Chapter 1 | Progress in Language, Literature and Education Research Vol. 1

Despite the evidence for these public, human and economic enlightening gains, it is still often likely low priority in instruction policy and asset and, where it does exist, grant permission exclude marginalized groups. ECCE has allure own extra vulnerability because much of it is privately provided. Quality Early Childhood Care and Education programs are in consideration of children in abundant ways. Consequently, from time immemorial, miscellaneous stakeholders not only in Botswana, but in all places, have embarked on differing efforts to try to provide specific services. However, various challenges in the provision of Early Childhood Care and Education services control in various nations. The chapter confers such issues in the context of Botswana. These contain: low approach to ECCE services; funding restraints; nutritional challenges; grammatical rules applying to nouns that connote sex or animateness disparity in the supplying of ECCE services; shortage of prepared and qualified educators and low compensation in addition to high stick turnover. The unit also maps the way forward concerning addressing the challenges. Among the approvals made toward mitigating the current challenges are: the Government concede possibility assume guidance in the provision of ECCE duties; improvements in the nutritional profit of meals that are likely to pre-schoolers, as well as the need to address gender differences in ECCE.
