Motivations for Sexual Relationships, Sero-discordant Partnerships and the Spread of HIV amongst Tiv People of Benue State, North Central Nigeria | Chapter 1 | Current Innovations in Disease and Health Research Vol. 6

 Despite the knowledge created on the styles of HIV transmission through intercourse behaviour change intervention programmes, the incidence rates of HIV contaminations remain significantly high in Nigeria, accompanying a figure of 227,518 cases in 2014. The present study examines the ambitions for sexual relationships, sero-conflicting partnerships and the spread of HIV among Tiv People of Benue State, Nigeria. A sample of 1,621 respondents was composed using multi-stage and beneficial sampling methods. Structured and meticulous interviews were used for dossier collection. SPSS (story 21) was used for all-inclusive data analysis.  The desire for inclination, place to live, favours, love and their combined belongings, age; and levels of education are considerably associated with sero-conflicting partnerships. The inspiration factors for sero-discordant intercourse relationships will need expected addressed, while guaranteeing access to character education, if significant decline in the incidence rates of HIV is expected achieved among the Tiv People of North Central Nigeria.
