Extraction of SIFT Image Features for Efficient Image Registration | Chapter 6 | Research and Developments in Engineering Research Vol. 3

This paper presents an figure registration algorithm established Scale Invariant   Feature   Transform (SIFT). SIFT is an image enrollment algorithm based on local countenance in an image. Compared to the former registration algorithms, SIFT is more robust to differences caused by changes in amount, illumination, rotation, and angle of the images. The descriptors and indispensable content that SIFT was able to gather manifest how resistant the treasure is to measuring, noise, translation, and turn. The image's most influential details are first taken out. Later, dot crop between the whole vectors are calculated to competition the obtained points.  Finally, renewal matrix is obtained by asking RANSAC algorithm. Experimental results shows that the algorithm extracts the better indispensable content, which maybe used for used for figure registration uses. Further work includes implementation of affine alter and image mixture techniques to obtain the recorded image.
