A Study on Transdermal Drug Delivery Systems Containing Eplerenone: Formulation, Optimization, and Characterization | Chapter 12 | Novel Aspects on Pharmaceutical Research Vol. 9

The projected work aims to optimize the expression and characterisation of eplerenone transdermal patches for efficient transdermal dispersion and to improve eplerenone's antihypertensive impact. Skin infiltration energy is critical to the profitable enhancement of the transdermal therapeutic framework. Transdermal cure saturation holds the following advances: sorption by the coating corneum, medication combination through the feasible epidermis, and drug uptake by a narrow arranging in the dermal papillary layer. Transdermal cure conveyance foundations (TDDS) are measurements constructions that include drug transport to conceivably epidermal or dermal tissues of the skin for local restorative impact while a significant portion of drug is shipped into the fundamental ancestry course. The log p estimate for eplerenone is 1.34, that is close to the common value. A record P value in the range of 1 to 4 implies greater skin permeability. The FTIIR study compared eplerenone and FTIR ranges of pure cure and polymer. The eplerenone calibration curve in Phosphate safeguard pH 6.8 was investigated. Eplerenone nanoparticles were efficiently formed into transdermal patches utilizing HPMC and Eudragit RS 100. The physical characterisation of Eplerenone nanoparticle transdermal patches told that the patches were uniform. Eplerenone is capable of penetrating the skin and making eplerenone nanoparticles. Overall, the results of this study show that the restriction of spoken eplerenone delivery can be overcome by including eplerenone nanoparticles transdermal patches for antihypertensive medication.
