The Chinese Teachings of Self-Cultivation to Form a Moral Being | Chapter 4 | Recent Trends in Arts and Social Studies Vol. 8

 In old days, the Confucian classics tell us to pay consolidation of effort to rectify our hopes and deeds. Nowadays, people the one are concerned about the unity of a society emphasize on the importance of self-cultivation. This item introduces the examples of the Chinese education of self-cultivation: to safeguard the weak ones; to hold dear creatures; and to abstain from unsuccessful one’s trustworthiness, calumny, and scolding and cursing. It maintains that what is common between all the above mentioned likenesses in the nature of honesty is benevolence, trustworthiness and tradition propriety – the divisions of self-cultivation.
