The work presents a analytical model of a thermogravimetric curve for the development and simultaneous hindrance of scale on a ore surface, and it addresses the situation at which point the process of smoke etching the monocrystal surface happens superior to the growth-hindrance of scale. When a nitride coating is created on a germanium sample in a medium of hydrazine vapours, the equatings that were got are employed to analyze the energetic curve of the mass change of the sample.
