Cardiovascular Practice and Services in Indonesia: Where are We Now and What should we Improve? | Chapter 8 | Research Developments in Medicine and Medical Science Vol. 5

Despite progresses in cardiovascular services over ancient times years, low- and middle-earnings countries (LMICs) in the South-East Asia region—particularly Indonesia—continue to face a sort of difficulties in giving standardized aids and healthcare systems. This chapter aims to climax the present rank of cardiology practices in primary and subordinate care, including the novel cardiovascular risk determinants, suggestions for enhancing the value of care, and future directions of cardiovascular research in weak-resource backgrounds in South-East Asia. We also take off a light in the context of research in Indonesia, a country with restricted infrastructure, human competence, and financial resources in administering basic and dispassionate research. Exposure to CVD risk factors can be everywhere reduced accompanying better healthcare legislation and requirements; and reducing the cardiovascular humanness and morbidity in this country is likely by providing inexpensive and approachable cardiovascular detection and situation, both at basic and secondary levels. Finally, improving the volume building for dispassionate research should be authorized in this LMIC to better learn the needs, features, and current problems in cardiovascular healthcare.
