Dr. Oscar Amoëdo y Valdes (1863-1945), Founding Father of Forensic Odontology | Chapter 4 | Research Aspects in Arts and Social Studies Vol. 8

 On May 4th 1897, 124 folk died in the fire of the Bazar de la Charité by way of a mishandling of the projectionist’s supplies (using a order of ether and oxygen alternatively electricity) that caught fire[1]. Many of the victims were elegant women, ultimate notable of whom was the Duchess of Alençon, Sophie Charlotte of Bavaria, sister of the legendary Empress of Austria Sissi. Her body was recognized thanks to her dentition. 5 dentists worked on the dead physique for identifying bureaucracy. The practitioners’ work was stated by Pr Oscar Amoëdo y Valdes.
