Ovarian Insufficiency: Psychosomatics of Sexuality and Conception | Chapter 4 | Highlights on Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 12

The chapter looks at sexuality and conception, using ovarian insufficiency as a focus. Fertility can be considered as heavily influenced by intrapsychic and interpersonal factors because psychosomatics encompasses issues of psyche and soma in interaction. It is also necessary to consider societal influences. Pre-conceptional circumstances, Psychosomatic resonance, for example, can explain why ovarian stimulation and other technical procedures aren't always effective. Relevant elements are presented through case vignettes.
