The structure of everyday communication is being actively
transformed by innovative technologies, imparting ever greater heterogeneity to
classical texts. Creolization in all cases changes the perception of the verbal
text making the perception of verbal units in a foreign language more
comprehensive. The image (being independent of the national language)
actualizes the pragmatic layer of the meaning of the linguistic unit and brings
the perception of a foreign word closer to the perception of a word in the
native language, though the direction of the whole text evaluation on some
scales may be changed as a result of text illustration or even by means of
using a different type face. The complexity of illustrated text decoding brings
about specific features of its translation: preserving the relationship between
the verbal and non-verbal components in the target text, rendering the author’s
intention taking into account the mechanisms of its realization, and conveying
the linguocultural context (verbal and non-verbal levels) of the source text.
