Natural Growth Promoter and Feed Formulation to Increase Chicken Productivity | Chapter 7 | Research Advances and Challenges in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 3

This chapter primarily focuses on studying the impact of natural growth promoters and feed formulation in increase the productivity of chicken. Food safety of chicken products must be supported from feed safety, namely the use of feed and feed additive. The use of Antibiotic Growth Promoter (AGP) as a feed additive could cause residue problems in the chicken products and the problem of certain antibiotic resistance in chickens and humans who consume chicken products. One of the efforts to replace AGP is using Natural Growth Promoter (NGP). The NGP production process must be precision, so that NGP can have an optimal effect on chicken productivity and health. NGP production technology using double coating nano encapsulation technology has proven effective for replacing AGP. Feed formulation in the smart farming concept will use artificial intelligence including sensor systems, big data, and poultry signals to chicken productivity and health.
