Study on Time-Dependent Absorption Theory of Three Light Pulses in a Ladder-Type Four-Level System | Chapter 3 | Newest Updates in Physical Science Research Vol. 9

In ladder-type four-level systems, a time-dependent theory of the absorption of three light pulses of arbitrary duration is proposed. The pulses are in phase with the transitions they correspond to. The spectrum and temporal behaviour of the chance that the fourth level is excited at time t is discovered using time-dependent perturbation theory. The scenarios where the frequency of the maxima of two of three light pulses are fixed and the maximum of the remaining pules vary are calculated and analysed. The widths of probable absorption lines are determined by a variety of factors. Three or four lines may be present in total, one of which corresponds to a cohesive contribution and the others do not.
