Vaccine associated biologics, vaccine adjuvants, oral vaccines, vaccine prim-boost, and vaccine delivery systems are all examples of probiotics. Commensal bacteria and commensal yeasts are used to make them. Candidate preparations are created and tested in the same way that vaccines are developed and evaluated, but with fewer controls. They can be used to treat and prevent infections as well as lymphoproliferative disorders.
