A Novel “Pull Back Balloon Assisted Wiring Technique” for the Treatment of Extremely Angulated Bifurcation Lesion | Chapter 7 | Highlights on Medicine and Medical Science Vol. 6

We want to show you a novel way to introduce the "Pull back balloon assisted wiring technique" for bifurcated lesions that are substantially angulated. A 50-year-old man presented with crescendo chest pain and dyspnea, and a coronary angiography revealed significant stenosis of the bifurcation septal branch – LAD. Due to an excessively angulated take-off, LAD was unable to be accessed. Pull back balloon assisted wiring to change the angle of bifurcation as a last resort procedure when no other options in the Plaque-plowing technique are available. This approach could be beneficial in the right anatomical and therapeutic situation.
