Coronavirus Disease-19 - Multi-dimensional Analysis on Incidence Rates- A Global Perspective Study | Chapter 10 | Challenges in Disease and Health Research Vol. 9

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the world, and the disease's spread is still uncontrolled, with confirmed cases being recorded all across the world. Based on the literature review, it was suggested that COVID-19 incidence rates are related to local environmental factors. As a result, it is critical to investigate the various environmental and meteorological factors that contribute to disease transmission and infection rates, allowing for better management of future outbreaks and crises. The current study studies the impact of population dynamics, dew point, and altitudinal parameters on COVID -19 incidence rates in several geographical regions. Data on the study's parameters is collected from 129 nations, and each parameter is analysed to determine the degree of correlation with confirmed instances. The findings demonstrate that combining the city fraction rate with latitude ranges can forecast the incidence rate of SARS-CoV-2 to variable degrees. Furthermore, the study found that countries with a city fraction rate in a specified range are more likely to see an increase in daily confirmed cases.
