The advanced tests and advancements in the security characteristics of SATA solid-state discs are the subject of this chapter. The amount of data in current computer applications is expanding by the day, and the size of storage medium is growing at the same time. The majority of storage devices, including Solid State drives, utilise flash memories. Solid-state drives, or SSDs, are non-volatile data storage devices that use NAND or NOR flash memory to store data and offer functionality similar to traditional hard disc drives (HDD). This chapter compares and contrasts solid-state drives and hard-disk drives. A technique is also created and implemented to improve the security features of SATA solid-state discs in terms of user authentication, access control, and media recovery from the ATA security feature set.
