Traditional tooth-retained overdentures are a more cost-effective and straightforward treatment option than implant-supported overdentures. When a small number of healthy natural teeth are present in a dentition that is otherwise deteriorated, these teeth can be kept and used as overdenture abutment teeth. This contributes to the definitive prosthesis's stability and retention. Denture retention is improved when a thermo-elastic acrylic resin denture foundation is used in the creation of a mandibular overdenture.
