Risk Assessment of Floods in Danube Region in Bulgaria| Chapter 13 | Advanced Aspects of Engineering Research Vol. 14

 Floods can result in property destruction, loss of life, major economic losses, and environmental and cultural heritage degradation. In Europe and Bulgaria, major floods have grown more common. More than twice as many medium- to large-scale flash floods have occurred in recent years. The current article presents an examination of the flood risk in the Republic of Bulgaria's Danube area.
