Picture segmentation is the first step in image processing, pattern recognition, and feature extraction. This segmentation can be accomplished in a variety of ways. This is a critical but fundamental aspect of image analysis because it is the single factor that influences the characteristics of the final image analysis output. This paper discusses semisupervised image segmentation using the hierarchical clustering technique. The prior information for the clustering process is given as an interested area selection from image using mouse. The picture qualities of intensity, colour, and texture are discussed here. The suggested technique provides more clarity of segmented regions than previous semi-supervised approaches.
