Massive MIMO for 5G Network: Fundamentals, Challenges and Key Technologies| Chapter 10 | Advanced Aspects of Engineering Research Vol. 14

We offered a summary of massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) for fifth generation in this chapter, as well as future research directions (5G). Massive MIMO technology, in which a base station (BS) is equipped with a large number of antennas to serve many users in the same time-frequency resource, can meet the demand for high throughput, spectral efficiency, and energy consumption in wireless communications, and is thus a promising technology for next-generation wireless communications systems such as 5G cellular systems. Furthermore, we demonstrated how huge MIMO could boost 5G wireless communication systems significantly.
