Ethical Challenges in the Practice of Journalism in Nigeria| Chapter 6 | Current Approaches in Science and Technology Research Vol. 1

 Since philosophers formed and dedicated themselves to the study of why human beings behave the way they do, as well as the repercussions of such behaviors, the notion of ethics has increased in prominence, as well as complexity and disagreement. Because journalism is a public-spheric profession in which truth, fairness, feeling of duty, and contemplation of likely repercussions are all important, it will continue to be at the center of such intricate and controvertible arguments for a long time. combine to establish how an activity will proceed. The goal of this research is to look at the ethical difficulties that obstruct journalism in Nigeria. Using secondary data, this paper explores the subject matter in relation to the key causes that orchestrate journalists' vulnerability to such challenges. Finally, the study concludes that using the "SAD" formula is a panacea for overcoming the plethora of ethical difficulties that Nigerian journalists encounter on a regular basis while performing their job.
