Identification of Adapted and Stable Cultivars, Using the AMMI Model and Linear Regression Technique | Chapter 1 | Emerging Issues in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 4

Identify superior operating genotypes across a wide range of referring to practices or policies that do not negatively affect the environment conditions, is an main topic in study of animal, plant breeding, and farming. This paper focus in the main possessions of linear reversion analysis (LR), and of the preservative main effects and multiplicative interplay (AMMI) model. The study compares LR and AMMI with particular importance in determining yield cohesion of different genotypes across various environments. The use is made utilizing a data set from a development program of durum grain (Triticum aestivum L., Durum Group) conducted in Portugal. The results of two together models shows that the AMMI analysis had more resistant results, being more efficient in depicting the GE interaction than the LR.
