Organic Agriculture Short-term Courses: Is It a Potential Approach for Well-being and Household Food Supply of Home Gardeners? | Chapter 10 | Recent Trends in Arts and Social Studies Vol. 3

 This phase determines the practicability of offering short-term basic agriculture courses at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture. The United Nations (UN) delimits food security as a position that exists when all population, at all times, have physical, friendly, and economic approach to sufficient, safe, and healthy food that meets their digestive needs and food preferences for an alive and healthy existence.The study employed descriptive, non-exploratory research that used a survey means. Respondents were required to answer a researcher-created survey questionnaire accompanying items aligned accompanying the problems established. Results revealed that most prospective enrollees are from the infirmity bracket (42.25%), curious in home gardening (50.84%), want to determine about basic abilities of organic agriculture (29.05%), and reap a National Certificate for teaching purposes (25.69%). Their main reason for enrolling in the program was energy or personal well-being (22.91%). Most accused wanted to determine about crop and animal production (44.69%) among the education areas not living agriculture.Home gardening is win popularity in few areas, whether city or rural, in the country. The potential of home flowers as a food security planning could bring about its practical ratification, especially for those in the poverty level.
