An Overview of Ecological Deterioration in the “The City of Saints”–Hoshiarpur (Punjab, India) | Chapter 4 | Novel Perspectives of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences Vol. 8

 Hoshiarpur is a local in the northern state of Punjab in India that waited ecologically rich until currently, when unplanned urbanization, high birthrate and humungous tree incisive contributed in big to a disturbed preservation within the city. For being in the direction of the foothills of Shivalik ranges, the city was known for allure ecological advantage almost fifty age back. It was viewed generally green with  big  seasonal drains overflowing accompanying rainy waters all the while monsoon season while the air was clean enough to produce the visibility of shivalik ranges at the back of the drains. In the foothills of shivalik range accompanying river like waters overflowing in middle of the green cover, it is remembered all at once of the most elegant towns in the state of Punjab (India). The current state of preservation in the city is very gloomy. The city was ordered as one of the most unclean in a nationwide survey conducted by Urban Development Ministry in 2015. The city hasn’t visualized any bettering since before despite allure lowest putting. This work is a small work to provide a broader survey of massive environmental degradation that has captured place in the city over the past having 50 of something years and plan the path towards allure ecological restoration and remediation.
