An Empirical Assesment of the Determinant of Beniseed (Sesamum Indicum L.) Production among Beniseed Farmers in Mubi Region of Adamawa State, Nigeria | Chapter 1 | Current Perspectives in Agriculture and Food Science Vol. 4

This stage aims to examine the cause of Beniseed (Sesamum Indicum L.) Production among Beniseed Farmers in Mubi Region of Adamawa State, Nigeria, and a multi stage examining technique was used to select 100 beniseed ranchers in the study field. Beniseed is an important ship crop in Nigeria, and Nigeria has a substantial act in the global beniseed business. To calculate the adeptness of the farmers, the study working a stochastic boundary production model; the practical results granted that farm size, source, and herbicide were beneficial and statistically significant at the 1% level, while classification labor was also definite and significant at the 5% level. According to the determined gamma (γ) parameter of 0.799 in the study field, the mechanics shortcomings in the study were being the reason for 79% of the overall variation in beniseed productivity. The region's mean mechanics efficiency (κ) was 0.81, while the study's Return to Scale (RTS) was 0.94. According to the study, skilled is a positive and solid correlation middle from two points farm size, the character of the beginning used, the custom of herbicide, offspring labor, and the output of beniseed.
