The Influence of pH on the Properties of SILAR Deposited Cobalt Selenide Films| Chapter 6 | Research Aspects in Chemical and Materials Sciences Vol. 4

The following ionic layer adsorption and response method (SILAR) has existed used for the growth of miscellaneous types of thin films. Because of this method has various advantages such as cheap, simple method, can control film thickness and low hotness production. In this work, twofold compound such as cobalt selenide thin films have happened produced by utilizing SILAR method under different pH principles. The structure, surface morphology and ocular properties of the acquired films have been studied by utilizing the X-ray diffraction (XRD), field issuance scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and ultraviolet seeable spectrophotometer. XRD data designated a cubic structure. Based on the FESEM reasoning, grain intensity increased when the pH was increased (pH 2 to pH 4). The band break was found in the range of 2 eV to 2.5 eV.
