Entangling Economics of Fishing to the Sustainability of Coastal Households of Indian Ocean| Chapter 1 | Current Aspects in Business, Economics and Finance Vol. 6

 Fisheries and growing plants in liquid are socio-economic activities that engage millions of society around the world as a occupation and livelihoods. However there are uncertainties in this place sector which change attainment of sustainability of marshy households. This study assesses the determinants doing fishing income of households reside coastal areas of Indian Ocean by utilizing Mafia District, Tanzania as a study case. Data collected by utilizing survey and participatory rural appraisal (PRA) to 120 carelessly households. Collected data were analysed both statistically and contently. The result disclosed that, there are several financial activities administered in the study area, where 41.47% of the households designated that fishing is the major business-related activity for their livelihood accompanying average income per era of 24.41 USD (51 250 TZS); whereas, fish connected activities contributes 7.14 USD (15 000 TZS) and additional economic activities money 2.38 USD (5000 TZS) per day. The paper decides that fishing contributes taller household’s income compare to different activities. The paper recommends the management or other colleagues to provide credit or subsides in enhanced fishing gears so as to achieve sustainability.
