Study on Authentication of Classes of Tulsi Leaf for the Extraction of Medicinal Qualities Using Image Processing Technique | Chapter 13 | Novel Perspectives of Engineering Research Vol. 4

In plant species, the leaf is particularly important. Medicinal qualities can be found in some of the leaves. In everyday life, identifying a leaf with a similar appearance has become a huge task. A computer vision technique with an image processing algorithm is utilised to overcome this. This technique extracts the leaf's characteristics and texture, and the closest match is utilised to decide which class it belongs to. The signature parameter serves as the vein in this morphological processing technique discussed in this research. The structural aspect of morphological processing is a dilation and erosion process. In terms of accuracy, authenticating an image with its signature parameter will be the most efficient strategy, exceeding other methods.
