Because of their high therapeutic value, Cassia species have piqued the interest of phytochemical and pharmacological researchers. In animal models, the anti-inflammatory efficacy of a methanolic extract of Cassia italica leaves was examined. The extract demonstrated good anti-inflammatory efficacy at various doses, which was aided greatly by the production of oedema caused by carrageenan and formalin. These results were also comparable to Indomethacin, the study's reference drug. The findings of this study show that the methanolic extract is effective as a therapeutic agent in both acute and chronic inflammatory diseases. As a result, it's possible to conclude that Cassia italica leaf extracts have potent anti-inflammatory activities.
The goal of this study was to look into the effects of carrageenan and formalin on paw edoema in Cassia italica.Author(S) Details
