Role of Vitamin D3 in Incidence of Metabolic Syndrome | Chapter 17 | New Frontiers in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 8

 The prevalence of central obesity along with other metabolic dysregulations such as elevated fasting blood glucose, dyslipidemia, and hypertension is known as metabolic syndrome. The number of metabolic syndrome criteria is growing every day. All of the traditional and expanded criteria are risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Vitamin D3 deficiency as a result of a sedentary lifestyle is also a significant cardiovascular risk factor. We attempted to link metabolic syndrome to vitamin D3 in this study.
