A polypoidal or pedunculated mass of placental tissue that stays in the uterus for an indefinite duration after delivery or abortion is known as a placental polyp. There are few references in the literature due to its rarity, and there are numerous ways to diagnosis and care. The authors present a rare instance of placenta accreta presenting as a uterine polyp. At our hospital, this is the only case that has been diagnosed and treated conservatively. Preoperative diagnosis, including precise interpretation of imaging data and successful curettage or biopsy, can help to avoid unnecessary hysterectomy, as in our instance.
