The
current study focuses on the diagnostic value of Orthopantomography and the
various pathologies that can be seen in panoramic radiographs. For many years,
orthopantomography (OPG) has been proven to be effective in dentistry, and it
often provides a valuable alternative to the supplementary evidence provided by
routine radiological techniques. OPG has found to be quite useful when several
dental pathologies are suspected, as well as a cystic or neoplastic disease in
the maxillary or mandibular region. In the event of trauma, a full evaluation,
as well as pre- and post-operative evaluation, is required.
