A Health Monitoring System (HMS) is a cutting-edge technology that provides an alternative to standard patient and health management methods. The Internet of Things (IoT) is crucial in the healthcare sector. Various patient health parameters can be read and stored in the cloud using an IoT device for various analysis purposes. Various statistical and machine learning algorithms can be used to analyse the data. The security of the data must be achieved since the data saved is sensitive information. The role of the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning techniques, and security risks and challenges are covered in this chapter, as well as the research gap.
