Gambella National Park has a diverse set of habitat types that Ethiopia shares with its neighbor, South Sudan, and it is regarded as one of Ethiopia's top wildlife areas. The development of the Gambella National Park's management plan is hampered by a lack of information on the park's habitat types. The goals of this study were to identify vegetation types and habitat types using recent satellite imagery. The method used to collect vegetation data Lines were transects. PC-ORD software was used to analyze vegetation data, while ArcGIS version 10.1 was used to classify the Gambella National Park habitats map using Rapid Eye image 5m resolution 2012. The Gambella National Park was classified into six vegetation communities using cluster analysis, and the relative abundance and relative frequency were used to name vegetation community types. The satellite image, on the other hand, had classified the Gambella National Park into five major habitat types.
