Background: COVID-19, a dispassionate syndrome caused apiece coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) became a universal following an outbreak of viral pneumonitis, first recognized in Wuhan, China. The disease proofs vary ranging from gentle upper respiring tract infection to harsh pneumonitis, acute respiring distress syndrome (ARDS) and even death. Although most of the neonatal cases are asymptomatic exceptionally they can present with cytokine storm imitating with similar face of sepsis. Cytokine storm can occur following the contamination leading to fabric damage, multiorgan involvement and even death.Case Report: This is a case report of SARS-CoV19 certain neonate giving with sepsis and cytokine storm. 5 epoch old baby innate to SARS –COVID 19 positive mother bestowed with turmoil and investigations showed inflated total counts with neutrophilic reign, thrombocytopenia suggestive of sepsis and raised inflammatory markers dirty of cytokine storm. Blood culture was shipped and baby was started on intravenous medicines .In view of cytokine storm intravenous dexamethasone 0.5 mg/kg/epoch was given intravenously for 5 days. Neonate recovered from sickness after 1 period as evidenced clinically and by inflammatory gravestones before discharge. This case report shows the possibility of bearing both sepsis and cytokine storm in a SARS-CoV19 beneficial neonate.
