The Harmattan workshop is held every year at Agbarha-Otor, Delta State, Nigeria. It is the realisation of a great artist's concept, Bruce Onobrakpeya, who founded the Bruce Onobrakpeya Foundation (BOF). Through his artistic medium, he concentrates his contributions on the manifestation of African identity. The tranquil setting of the harmattan workshop ensures that no one is left unaffected by the consummating ecstasy of art influence and radiation. This biennial art practise, debate, and exhibition display attracts artists and associates from Africa and beyond. Many people praise the unique pieces of art that are created and displayed there. Traditional issues, design discovery, motif manipulation, plastograph investigations, tryptilinen, plastocast, zerograph, installation, and others are all sources of inspiration for Onobrakpeya. It is worthwhile to participate in a harmattan workshop to have a flavour of African identity via art.
