Observational Restrictions on Inflationary Universe Models | Chapter 3 | Fundamental Research and Application of Physical Science Vol. 8

The minority inflationary models that remain later confrontation with practical data, the more we hear about the first moment of outer space. In this paper, more than thirty inflationary models are confronted with the currently improved limit on the tensor-to-scalar percentage presented for one Planck team.  It is shown that any more models are falsified on account of this sharper limit. The study also discusses likely consequences of CMB-S4-notes for these inflationary models. The results are summarized in a table that shows that even if all the models that can be proven against the CMB-S4-observational dossier are falsified, there wait a handful of models that need additional tests, for example dissemination tests in order to decide either they are realistic. Also the hypothetical foundations of the models must be deduced – whether they can be built from fundamental physics or have an ad hoc type and contain alterable arbitrary parameters, are main.
