Observational Restrictions on Inflationary Universe Models | Chapter 3 | Fundamental Research and Application of Physical Science Vol. 8

The minority inflationary models that remain later confrontation with practical data, the more we hear about the first moment of outer space. In this paper, more than thirty inflationary models are confronted with the currently improved limit on the tensor-to-scalar percentage presented for one Planck team.  It is shown that any more models are falsified on account of this sharper limit. The study also discusses likely consequences of CMB-S4-notes for these inflationary models. The results are summarized in a table that shows that even if all the models that can be proven against the CMB-S4-observational dossier are falsified, there wait a handful of models that need additional tests, for example dissemination tests in order to decide either they are realistic. Also the hypothetical foundations of the models must be deduced – whether they can be built from fundamental physics or have an ad hoc type and contain alterable arbitrary parameters, are main.

Inflationary Models of the Early Universe | Chapter 8 | New Frontiers in Physical Science Research Vol. 2

The inflationary models of the universe provide new avenues at the interface of particle physics and cosmology, potentially leading to solutions to some of the most difficult problems in both cosmology and particle physics. Numerous proposals have been made to account for the recent cosmic acceleration of the universe, either by adjusting the gravitational sector of the action or by introducing exotic matter into General Theory of Relativity. Different inflationary models especially old inflation, new inflation, chaotic inflation, power law inflation, along with the conditions required for inflation are discussed here with their merits and demerits. I also discuss the recent developments of inflationary models taking into consideration of the present cosmic acceleration of the universe.
