Background: In India, the burden of diabetes is second only to that of heart failure (CVD) [1]. Both micro and large vascular problems maybe cause by diabetes. Nephropathy, retinopathy and neuropathy make up the trio [2]. 50 percent of cases with type 1 and type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) develop diabetic neuropathy. The chance of expanding diabetic neuropathy rises over time [3]. Diabetes sufferers experience trial loss that concede possibility be sensory affecting animate nerve organs in nature and decay at higher repetitions [2].Methods: A useful method to assess the hearing circuits in the brainstem is the brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) test. BAEP waves and interpeak latencies written.Results: Delayed BAEP waves and interpeak latencies recorded in diabetics.Conclusion: These results stated abnormal hearing pathway in brainstem in diabetic inmates. BAEP contributes to the dispassionate diagnosis of hearing neuropathy in diabetics.
