"Ah, Are You Digging on My Grave," by Thomas Hardy: A Pessimistic Vision as One of the Characteristics of Modernism | Chapter 5 | Research Highlights in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 5

 This stage highlights distrust as one of the features of novelty. The study showed by virtue of what Thomas Hardy’s poem “Ah, Are You Digging on My Grave?” reflects welcome pessimistic happenings in this poem. The objective of the study search out highlight the feature of gloomy as one of the features of change. Descriptive and Analytical methods are used to detail how the vision of unhappiness is dominating this writing. The study concludes that not unhappiness is the only feature reflected in this composition but also self-regard it is known that birth and cessation are the paths of growth and no one lasts in this place cosmos, accordingly, this selfishness or self-obsession is a produce of this despair.
