Studies of Lower Part of Electric Poles to Support Electrical Distribution Networks| Chapter 6 | Technological Innovation in Engineering Research Vol. 8

The objective of this exploration is to research the consumption of the lower part of the electric posts that help the electrical circulation organizations. Microstructure and mechanical properties of two examples, (A) plate carbon steel and (B) pipe carbon steel, which are used in the production of electrical posts, have been analyzed. Moreover, tests (A', B') and (A", B") are utilized to concentrate on the erosion rates in air and burred in soil separately.

Mechanical property results show that the Vicker hardness for test (A) is (206) and for test (B) is (185.4). The carbon wt% for tests (A) and (B) has been approved by substance compositional investigation to be (0.24%) and (0.30%), separately.

The Erosion rates (C.R.) of tests under review were tried where the qualities are (0.33 MPY) for test (A') and (0.39 MPY) for test (B') while the qualities are (0.45 MPY) for the two examples (A") and (B").

It tends to be reasoned from this work, the consumption at the lower part of the electric shafts because of soil dampness at the area of establishment of electric post where dampness ascends to the lower part of the post by the activity of Galvanic erosion notwithstanding the anxieties and weight of the shaft add to the shape and fall of the section at this piece of the electric shaft.
