A Semi-field Test with Natural and Analogous Acetogenins as Bioinsecticide | Chapter 6 | Research Aspects in Biological Science Vol. 8

The goal of this research was to assess new natural insecticides for effectiveness against S. larvae in their second instar. frugiperda, grown on Zea mays L. in a glasshouse. Spodoptera frugiperda is a pest that, among other crops, damages maize crops. It has a high potential for developing resistance to conventional insecticides, which is sufficient justification for the search for new solutions for controlling it. ACG compounds that were acetylated and methoxy methylated as well as commercially available Lambda-cyhalotrin were evaluated as natural products (LC).
